  • 4.4★ on Google
  • IP65 rated
  • Low-voltage options

Garden lights light up plants, trees and paths after dark, using spikes, decorative stakes and lights set into the ground. We stock MASCON garden spikes from 3W, 24V stake lights like Blossom, Birch and Rivet, and burial lights, mostly rated IP65, at our Periyamedu showroom.

Spike, stake or inground?

  1. Spike

Push it into the soil and aim it at a tree or wall.

  2. Stake light

    Decorative glow among the plants.

  3. Inground

Flush with the floor, so nothing gets in the way.

Why choose 24V?

Low voltage is safer around soil, water and people. The 24V stake lights run off one driver, kept dry.

Questions people ask

Spikes and stake lights are IP65. Joints use IP68 waterproof connectors.

Aim one or two spikes up from the base. A 38° beam suits most trees.

Warm 3000K. It keeps greens natural and the mood calm.

The 24V stake lights do. Keep the driver in a dry, covered spot.

Blossom comes in 600mm and 800mm, Birch in 800mm and 900mm, and Rivet from 600mm to 1,000mm.

Yes. Spikes push into the soil, so they can be moved as plants grow, as long as the cable reaches.

One or two spikes per tree, plus a cluster of stake lights in each bed. Light a few features well rather than everything.

They're easy to install but dim on cloudy days. Wired 24V lights stay consistent all year.

Yes, with a timer at the driver.

A light set into the ground or wall so it sits flush, like the Miro burial spot. It lights paths and walls without anything sticking out.

A few Rivet or Blossom stake lights in the planters, on 24V.

Good to know before you buy

  • Light a few things well

Pick two or three features: a tree, a wall, a bed of plants. Lighting everything a little looks flat. Lighting a few things well gives the garden depth.

  • Plan the cable route

Run the low-voltage cable in conduit along bed edges, away from where you dig. Keep the driver in a dry, covered spot near a power point.

  • Think about growth

Plants grow. Leave some slack in the cable so spikes can be moved back as a tree's canopy spreads.

  • Use waterproof connectors

Every joint in the soil should use an IP68 connector. It's the cheapest way to avoid failures in the monsoon.

Common mistakes to avoid

An evenly lit garden looks like a car park. Leave some areas in shadow so the lit features stand out.

Spikes near seating or paths can shine straight into people's eyes. Aim them away from where people sit and walk.

Taped joints in soil fail in the first heavy rain. Use IP68 waterproof connectors on every joint.

The driver is not as weatherproof as the lights. Keep it in a dry, covered box above ground.

A spike set close to a young tree may end up buried in its roots or hidden by leaves within a year. Leave room.
