  • 4.4★ on Google
  • IP65 rated
  • Die-cast aluminium

Bollard lights are short posts that light paths, driveways and garden edges at ground level. We stock over 30 MASCON bollards, from 300mm to about 600mm tall, rated IP65 and made in die-cast aluminium or stainless steel, at our Periyamedu showroom.

How far apart should bollards be?

Close enough that the pools of light just meet. Bring your path length and we'll work out the count.

300mm or 600mm?

  • 300mm

Low and discreet, for garden edges.

  • 600mm

Taller, easier to see, for driveways and long paths. They also mark the edge of the drive for cars.

Questions people ask

Yes. Ours are IP65, so rain and garden sprinklers aren't a problem.

12W, about 950 lumens, is enough for most paths and driveways.

They bolt to a concrete base, with the cable run underground.

A 600mm Morino or Mossimo. The height keeps it visible to drivers and the light spreads across the drive.

The Marot bollard takes a standard E27 bulb. The others use built-in 12W LEDs.

The LED bollards in this range run on mains power with the driver built in.

A stainless steel bollard that throws a pattern of light and shadow on the ground, used as a decorative feature.

Yes. 300mm models suit terrace gardens and planter edges, as long as there's a cable route.

Both last when rated IP65. Glass bodies like Parera glow all round. Metal bodies like Mossimo aim light down and hide fingerprints.

Yes, with a timer or a dusk sensor on the circuit.

Good to know before you buy

  • Lay conduit before the paving

Run an underground cable conduit to each bollard position before the driveway or path is paved. Adding cables later means digging up the finish.

  • Pick the light pattern

Diffused-cap bollards like Morino spread light all round. Downward models like Mossimo keep the light on the path and out of eyes. Shadow throws a pattern of light on the ground for a decorative touch.

  • Use one style per path

One model at even spacing looks calm and intentional. Mixing styles along the same path looks unplanned.

  • Choose the finish with the landscape

Black and dark grey disappear into planting at night. Stainless steel and glass suit modern stone and paved gardens.

  • What is the best height for a garden bollard?

300mm for garden edges and flower beds. 600mm for driveways and main paths.

Common mistakes to avoid

Gaps of darkness between bollards make a path harder to follow. The pools of light should just meet.

Place driveway bollards just off the edge, not on the inside of a bend, where wheels clip them.

A bollard bolted only into soil leans after the first monsoon. Set each one on a small concrete base.

Bright, exposed LEDs at eye level dazzle more than they guide. Downward or diffused models light the path without glare.

Path lights left on all night waste power. A timer or dusk sensor runs them only when needed.

Tell us your path length. We'll suggest the model and the count.
