A profile light is an LED strip set inside an aluminium channel with a diffuser cover, giving one clean, even line of light. It's used in false ceilings, coves, walls and under kitchen cabinets. Sizes, strips and samples are at our Periyamedu showroom.
What is a profile light?
Three parts: an aluminium channel, an LED strip and a diffuser.
The channel pulls heat away from the strip, so it lasts longer. The diffuser hides the dots. The result is a line of light, not a row of points.
Recessed, surface or corner: which do you need?
Recessed
Sits flush in the false ceiling or wall. Plan it before the POP work.
Surface
Sticks or screws onto a finished ceiling, wall or cabinet.
Corner
Fits where two surfaces meet, like under a shelf edge.
Inground
For floors and outdoor paths, with a waterproof strip.
Sizes and channel dimensions
Wider channels take wider strips and give a bolder line.

Good to know before you buy
Decide recessed or surface before the POP work
Recessed profiles sit inside a groove in the false ceiling or wall. Make the groove while the POP or gypsum goes up, sized for the channel, such as 50mm for the ML-P313. Surface profiles can be fixed later.
Match the strip to the channel
The strip must fit inside the channel's inner width. A 240-LED strip gives a smoother line than a 120-LED strip, especially in shallow channels where the diffuser sits close to the LEDs.
Where the driver goes
Every run needs a driver, and it must stay reachable for service. Plan an access point in the false ceiling or a cabinet. Long runs may need power fed from both ends.
Corners and joints
Corner profiles and clean mitred joints make a ceiling line look continuous. Plan the corners on your drawing so the channel lengths are cut right the first time.
